Jorge Cabrera,
Artista multidisciplinar, investigador e mediador de arte e educação. Trabalha com o empoderamento de corpos racializados, territórios e culturas em situação de periferia utilizando-se da arte e da educação. É doutorado em Arte Contemporânea pelo Colégio das Artes, Universidade de Coimbra (2022) e Mestre em Artes pela Escola de Belas Artes da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, Brasil (2011). Entre suas últimas exposições coletivas figuram: «Anozero Ágora» (2024), curadoria de Nelson Ricardo. Coimbra; 150 artistas (2023 e 2024). Coletiva Galeria Sete, Coimbra; «Viva Brasil», 200 anos da independência (2022). Coletiva Galeria Colégio das Artes/UC, Coimbra; «Ágora» Bienal da Maia (2021), curadoria de José Manuel Santos Maia; Artista convidado da 24º, 23º e 22º Bienal Internacional de Arte de Cerveira (2022 e 2020). Participou com a performance «Fábrica» da abertura do 7º Festival Slam Portugal. Salão Brasil. Coimbra (2021). Entre os projetos individuais figuram: «Contratempo» em Ciclo de Teatro e Artes Performativas Mimesis / UC. Coimbra (2022); Galeria Antonio Berni. Rio de Janeiro. Foi selecionado na Open Call New North, Latinos Creative Society of the University of Arts of London and Exposed Arts Projects, London, England (2019), recebeu o Prêmio 20º Bienal Internacional de Arte de Cerveira. Portugal (2018); foi selecionado no Salão de arte Grands et Jeunes d'aujourd'hui 1997 para expor no Banque et Caisse d'Epagne de l'Etat de Luxembourg (1997); prémio Único Salón Luis Alfredo López Méndez. Jorge Cabrera,
Multidisciplinary artist, researcher and art and education mediator. He works with the empowerment of racialised bodies, territories and cultures in peripheral situations using art and education. He has a PhD in Contemporary Art from the College of Arts, University of Coimbra (2022) and a Master's Degree in Arts from the School of Fine Arts of the Federal University of Minas Gerais, Brazil (2011).
